Venue: Gelukkie
Second shooter: Roland C Photography
Even though the Western Cape is going through one of the driest winters in decades, the day we had to go and take the wedding photos of Neil and Ellen, it was pouring in the little coastal town of Paternoster. It was definitely a real winter’s day with grey skies all around. Luckily about an hour before the ceremony was scheduled to start, the rain stopped! I don’t know who was more relieved- me or the bride!? So we got a little bit of clouds and not just grey skies for the photos. Was freezing cold on the beach, but Ellen was a trooper, not complaining once about the cold breeze.
Wedding: Ilse & Eduardo - Piekenierskloof - 9 April '16
I've known Ilse for a while, so it was really cool to spend their special day with them. It was a scorching hot day close to Citrusdal in the mountains at the Piekenierskloof resort. Got some awesome shots of the Paleisheuwel valley in the background of the one shot.
Wedding: Elaine & Riaan - Hudson's Vredenheim - 25 March '16
It was a beautiful Autumn day in March, Good Friday to be exact that Riaan & Elaine decided to tie the knot. They stay in Johannesburg and decided Cape Town should be the place to get married- good choice I say! They got married at Hudson's, one of my favourite venues to take photos. There is just so much possibilities for great shots at the venue....and the food is always good! hehhehe
Wedding: Elmarie & Theo - Suikerbossie - 30 Jan'16
I've known the groom Theo for quite a few years, we met at a wedding... he was DJ at the wedding and I obviously the photographer. I was flattered when he asked me to do his wedding photos, seeing as he has worked with so many service providers in the wedding industry. It was a beautiful summers day in Cape Town and Suikerbossie was the perfect venue for the day.
Wedding: Johanette & Heinrich - Gordonsbay - 19 Des '16
The day started out a perfect day....until about 3pm. Then the black South Easter came up, like the wind can only blow in the Gordonsbay area. We were tough, and handled it quite well.. I think! Was a nice change to take some wedding photos of a groom in his Sa Navy uniform.
