Maternity & Newborn Packages

I use to do maternity shoots for R1000 each… but I feel there’s only so many photos you can take of your tummy as the centre of attention.

So I’m doing a combo package at the moment.

You join me at the studio about 4 weeks before your due date, we capture about 40 images and I keep them on my system. When the little one has arrived we take a lot more. I take about 150 photos on the day after which I give you the best 80-100 edited, high resolution images on a disc, together with your maternity photos. You can then print and reproduce as many photos as you like, or even print large canvas prints.

A little bit more information about the newborn sessions

All the props, blankets, backdrops, throws, hats, baskets and buckets are here in studio. If you come to me they are all available. If you have a few ideas of your own, and a prop or 2 to go along with it, you are more than welcome to bring it with you to the studio.

Although it may not look like it, the babies are never left alone… some of the images I do, I manipulate in photoshop. A tree trunk is not an ideal spot for a baby to have a nap. When you join me in studio, you will see my simple tricks. An hour before you come for the photo shoot, I start to heat up the studio and I have a few warm beanbags handy. In the summer, we make it a bit cooler. Anything to keep the little model happy.

It really is best to do your Newborn Shoot within the first 14 days of your baby being born. The younger they are the better, in theory, you just never know with Newborns.

I only do one newborn session on a day, so please contact me well in advance, I don't want to turn anyone away, or wait to long and miss those precious few days of your little one's life.

Please understand that every newborn is different, and it is not possible to get all the poses that are on my website. Please don’t stress if your Newborn doesn’t settle, sometimes it can take up to an hour before we even start. There is plenty of time for nursing, soothing, and lots of cuddles.

I am available midweek and on weekends, although my weekends fill up a lot quicker as this is generally when the dad’s can come along too…

What to wear?

I always say the best way to go is just to wear neutral colours - black, white or any plain colour. No busy patterns, stripes or huge logo's on t-shirts. It's totally up to you if you want to match colours and outfits.

Detailed description of wedding packages:

Wedding photography commencing with bride AND groom getting dressed / hair and make up done (before bride and groom departs for church/venue)
Arrival of bride at church/venue, ceremony, approx 30min group photos (family / friends)
Bride / groom portrait and romantic photos, approx 45min - 1 hour into reception (speeches, toasts, bouquet and garter ceremonies, bride and groom’s first dance, various candid photos)
All final digital photos on the USB are individually edited and are full print quality ( high resolution)
The USB contains all the final digital negatives in full colour, as well as various conversions to black & white and sepia.
We like to keep our style of photography as unobtrusive as possible, capturing the moments as they happen.
The final prints and USB may be delivered up to 3 - 4 weeks after the wedding date. This is to allow time for editing and printing by a 3rd party
I kindly request 2 seats and meal during the reception, as it can be a very long day.
